Sometimes the veil can be heavy and seemingly impenetrable. And other times it seems that angels minister to us daily.

I feel that we all wrestle with God now and then. We struggle with our faith and we battle our beliefs. But at the end of the day, He wants us to struggle and grow and learn for ourselves. That is how we build ourselves.

This is a commissioned piece I did for a local musician that fell in love with my paintings "Ghosts". She's amazing, look her up! She has plans to use this painting for an album cover later this year.

This was equal parts fun and frustrating. It's easier to paint someone else because you don't have to get everything exactly right. But I had to rework my face several times to make it look like me without a nose job. But I finally fulfilled my dream of having a pet dragon! So. It was worth it. -Lexi

I took another class from Howard Lyon in the fall of 2016 and this time it was a Master Copy class. I chose a Bouguereau and it was a blast! I learned so much about skin tones and fabrics. -Lexi

I have a gorgeous friend with amazing green hair that inspired me and modeled for this piece. This was an experiment in textures- the fabric, the leather, the metal accessories, and the horns- they were all new to me and I indulged in the experience. - Lexi

I did this piece at a Fantasty Portrait class that Howard Lyon taught of the summer of 2016. It was my first serious oil painting. I don't mean to brag, but it definitely encouraged me to pursue art again. - Lexi
